Lamb Horns are made of 99% keratin, meaning basically they are made of hair. Together hair fibres are incredibly strong (just look at our own fingernails), which is why Lamb Horns are such a great longer lasting chew for dogs. However, because they are made of hair, as your dog chews the horn they become softer. Not only does this mean that the horn will not splinter, but the horn becomes a brush, it is literally natures tooth brush for dogs. Chewing on horns will help to maintain your dogs oral health, including keeping their teeth clean, cleaning their gums as well as helping to freshen their breath, buy reducing food particles. The strong concerntrate of keratin also supports your dog to have a healthy shiny coat. 
 
Dogs, especially puppies have a natural instinct to chew, and puppies teething can be destructive on our belongings. Our lamb horns have saved many a trainer from being destroyed at Highland Dog Bakery HQ!

Always supervise your dog when they have a horn or antler.
 
Choose the right size! Especially if buying for a puppy, as puppies are at a greater risk of swallowing objects. Select one that is not too small for your dog to swallow, and not too large that they can't chew it easily.
 
Throw away the horn when it has worn down to a small size which your dog can fit completely in their mouth.
